“Grace is what reveals itself when you’ve let the world obliterate you – not so you are a victim of it, but so you are a lover of it. This is surrender.” ~ AMODO MAA
Dear Readers, Community, Friends,
What does falling into the arms of your life look like? What stones have yet to be unturned?
Take a minute to reflect: in 2022, what worked, what didn’t, and ... what’s next?
- Give yourself permission to let go of anything that didn’t serve you.
- Carry the priceless lessons you learned from making mistakes into 2023 to make it a great year.
- Where in your life is there something not yet actualized?
- What is something you’ve always wanted to be or do?
- Where can you look for mentors to model this for you?
We are capable of so much more than we realize. Getting from point A to point B in the most effortless way possible is something I focus on. I always thought growing had to be trudgery, but then I found that relaxing, focussing, and starting my journey with joy leads me to far greater heights than forcing my way through.
To adopt a supportive mindset and practice for this, a friend just told me to read “Psycho-Cybernetics” by Maxwell Maltz. I have just started the book, but want to make myself accountable so I finish it – I think it has lots of gems to offer. What more perfect way to be accountable than to invite others to join me?
So, please join me January 1st, 2023 for a virtual book club! Let’s read the first 4 chapters in January, the next 4 in February, and so on, so we can finish the book by the end of the first quarter.
I liked this summary of what you will learn from this book. Here are a few actionable insights:
- Develop a healthy self-image based on facts
- Work with a success mechanism, believing and thinking about great possibilities you can achieve
- Use the power of your imagination to learn complete relaxation, successful imagery, and mental practice of future physical actions
- Develop skills to turn crisis into opportunity
- Embrace opportunities to live a long, happy, healthy life
