When I recently listened to this TED talk, my ears perked up, especially being from Western North Carolina post-hurricane Helene, where we were asked to pivot most of our societal functions all at once.
When assessing someone’s AQ, Natalie Fratto asks “What if” questions like, “What if your main revenue stream were to dry up overnight?” to gauge a person’s ability to understand the layers of the dilemma posed, take stock of their toolset and create multiple solutions to a big problem. She also includes how one's ability to unlearn and explore play key roles in adapting to change.
